Spawned in late 2002, RSJ set about constructing heavy groove-laden noise metal that would not only destroy even the most hardened of eardrums but also annihilate any stage that would be naive enough to take them.

Their debut E.P. 'THE DAY AFTER', released in Sept 2003, paved the way forward for RSJ, gaining sales worldwide through the bands website, www.rsj.info, and helped establish the group with a solid and loyal fanbase. Having played with such scene luminaries such as 'FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND', 'SOILWORK', 'BIOHAZARD', 'MINUS', 'RAGING SPEEDHORN', 'MNEMIC' and 'ORANGE GOBLIN' to name but a few... RSJ's unforgettable and energetic live shows led the band into bigger territories.

With a successful co-headlining UK tour, along with the release of a split E.P. under their belts, RSJ gained a support slot to with American metal-core giants 'UNEARTH'. This then led to RSJ's first USA release on a compilation titled 'RAW AGGRESSION' through ROTTING CORPSE RECORDS.

Mid 2004 saw RSJ sign to HANGMANS JOKE RECORDINGS and release their second E.P. 'BLUEPRINT FOR A BRIGHTER FUTURE' to mass critical acclaim. Aside from four new tunes, the E.P. featured the band's debut video for the opening track 'REBORN' and saw RSJ's first small screen appearance on 'SCUZZ TV'. Stunning reviews from publications such as 'ROCKSOUND', 'METAL HAMMER', 'KERRANG!', 'NUTS MAGAZINE' and numerous online e-zines gained the band sponsorship with 'ESP GUITARS AND BASSES' and 'BLEUBOLT STREETWEAR'.

In 2005 RSJ signed to British label COPRO RECORDS and this then saw the band's first full length release titled 'REFLECTIONS IN B MINOR'. Produced by metal guru DAVE CHANG, the 12 track album recieved stunning reviews from both the mainstream and street-level media and also gained RSJ a slot on the covermount CD of 'METAL HAMMER'.

The start of 2006 saw RSJ embark on a storming full UK tour with Australian speed-grind masters 'THE BERZERKER' building the band's growing fanbase and once again gaining more flawless reviews from publications such as 'TERRORIZER', 'KERRANG!' and 'POWERPLAY'. With a feature following in the 'Incoming' section of 'METAL HAMMER' and their debut album appearing in the 'KERRANG! decks of doom' writers playlist, RSJ embarked on a headlining UK MINI TOUR in August 06. Yet another stunning live review in 'KERRANG!' giving the band '4k's' for their incendiary live performance, sponsorship from the mighty 'HUGHES AND KETTNER' guitar and bass amplification, a 'BBC RADIO' Interview and feature and a track on the covermount CD of the Xmas issue of 'TERRORIZER' saw a successful end to the year.

2007 has already seen RSJ in the studio recording their much anticipated second album, due for release in May. Titled 'GAIN TO NOTHING' the album will feature 10 new tracks plus a load of extras such as Remixes by MATT WILCOCKS of Death Metal Giants 'AKERCOCKE', bonus live material and also their second video for the track 'DEADBOLT' all in a Limited edition Digipack. In between all this the band have still found time to hit the road for a UK Tour with Kerrang favourites 'ANEMIC' and also put together a tour of IRELAND in April. RSJ also hit the road in May 2007 for a full UK TOUR to coincide with the release of their album and plans are pending for the band to head overseas later in the year.
